Senior Embedded Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Developer who wants to take ownership of the entire stack – from bootloader and Yocto to how functionality is exposed to the application layer.

This is not a role where you “just code” – you build real systems.

You will:

• Take raw hardware and build a stable Linux system (Yocto)
• Work closely with drivers and hardware (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
• Design robust integrations toward Java (DBus, sockets, REST)
• Drive security initiatives (Secure Boot, TLS, OTA) – a prioritized area

You will become the technical bridge between hardware and applications, and a key person in future product platforms.

We are looking for someone with strong expertise in

Embedded Linux & Yocto

• Deep experience with Yocto / BitBake
• Building, customizing, and troubleshooting Linux systems
• Understanding of the boot chain (bootloader → kernel → rootfs)

Hardware- oriented development

• Strong skills in C/C++
• Experience with:
• SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO
• Knowledge of:
• Device Tree
• Drivers
• Comfortable debugging close to hardware

Integration & system design

• Exposing functionality via:
• DBus, sockets, REST, JNI
• Designing stable interfaces between Native and Java

Cyber Security

• TLS, certificates
• Secure Boot
• Secure OTA updates

Meritorious experience:

• Key management
• Encryption of data/databases
• Secure system design

Important technical areas you will work with

• NFC
• Ethernet
• Cellular modems (LTE/4G/5G)
• Memory management
